The New Sigilizer and The Ultimate Sigil

In 2013 I published the first version of The Sigilizer. The idea was to expedite something I was doing (and still do) a lot: compress a desire, an expression of my will, into a token that can be charged into my subconscious in varied states of gnosis. And I do that mostly using Austin Osman Spare’s classic technique: write your will, remove repeated letters, create a mantra with what remains. Then charge it. Having the computer do most of the heavy lifting for me aligns a lot with my western-chaos-magician-do-it-quick-do-it-good tendencies. It is not for everyone, I know. The work on the craft is also an important part of magic for a lot of folks, but it allows me to focus on the things I consider more important (the level of gnosis, for instance).

The 2013 version of the Sigilizer (which I am preserving at this link) also had a charging option, where a robotic voice would chant several mantra versions of your sigil while its letters were thrown across the screen. That was cool, but I always wanted to actually create the glyph version of the sigil for the user. Still following AOS’s technique: take the remaining letters and join them, changing their size and style, to form a visual token to be imprinted on your subconscious. Then it can be exported and carried around, ready to be charged whenever gnosis is available.

The app explanation.

That is what I did for this new version of the Sigilizer. You can create several mantra versions of your sigil, then choose one of them to be drawn. A few glyph variations will be offered (but you can always click to ask for more), and you can change the style and the scene, then export an image and/or an animated charging sigil, like the one below. You can also click on the glyph to go full screen into charging mode, where particles will help you with the subconscious imprinting part. The app’s own icon is itself a sigil, by the way: the glyph of “It is our will to sigilize” (mantra SIGLU WOTZER).

And as I have been doing with all my latest apps, you can get a shareable link that lands exactly on the same sigil. Your original intent will not be preserved unless you toggle “Include my intent in the link” (you are supposed to forget it anyway).

And with that I can also draw and charge what I have been calling “The Ultimate Sigil” for a few years now, with a focus on high-illumination magic. How can you sigilize The Absolute? Well, following AOS’s technique, all you need to do is create a sigil with every letter of the alphabet (and every digit), since those are the unique characters of every desire that could ever be written.

As I charge this, I ascend as a Magician.
